Kickball season is officially here!! This was the first Lithia Ligers game of the season (I came up with the name, and yes, it was from Napoleon Dynamite) Ha llegado la temporada de la liga de Kickball, que traducido en EspaƱol seria, patear la pelota. Here's some Ligers in action, mostly just pointing at stuff though. I did make a sweet long-distance throw-out from second base that plucked off their base runner about 2 steps from home base and in a full sprint. He was a little ticked cause he never saw it coming!
The Ligers one and only, and BEST fan.
The vicorious Lithia team. Este es el equipo completo de Lithia.

I thought D.C. was the only city to have the leagues. They play down on the National Mall. I haven't played yet but have organized a game for our organization picnic day next week. Can you actually kick a home run?
In-the-park homeruns are definitely do-able. If you're not confident in being able to really boot it in the direction of a weak outfielder........low and hard is the best approch. 9 out of 10 people try to kick hard and just pop it up to the infielders. Low and hard, and if you can curve it around the 1st or 3rd baseman, that's usually a weak spot on the field. It's a blast.
